Hello friends and welcome to onehundredtwentythreedays. I am an ordinary wife, sister, friend, and slightly crunchy mom making lifestyle changes one challenge at a time.

I am dedicated to maintaining a gluten-free lifestyle, sustainable living, consuming less, creating more, and realigning my financial goals with my life goals (a work in progress). This can also be called Intentional Living.

My husband and I want to push ourselves to be better, eat healthier and live wiser. We are sharing our journey here. Record keeping has been a little hobby of mine for as long as I can remember. I hope you enjoy the details as much as I do. Welcome and thank you for stopping by πŸ™‚

A special Thank You to those bloggers and readers who followed my initial No takeout journey. I look forward to more happy blogging❢

  1. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, and sharing it on your site. Much appreciated! I love the idea of your fabulous challenge and am currently on a quest to reduce take away in our world also. I would struggle to remove it altogether though, as amazing Thai take away does save us from toasted sandwiches about once a fortnight!
Good luck. I’ll look forward to reading more. : )

  2. Awesome, awesome idea. I could do this but my wife and daughter would shoot me just for making the suggestion!

By the way, how do you make those cool boxes and links on the right side of your page? And how do you add pages like you have on the top nav bar? Do you pay for these things? I can’t figure it out for the life of me!

    1. Hi πŸ™‚ Thanks for the message. The side bar is the widget feature. I don’t pay for it, it is part of the template I chose to have the ‘secondary widget area’ as a side bar (rather than at the bottom of the page). If you want a badge, you can create one or use one from another blog by copying and pasting the html code. Some of mine are images using the image widget. Check out your dashboard and play around with the widgets. Warning though – it can be a real time suck! Good luck and happy blogging!

  3. Hi and thanks for following my blog after the stumble πŸ™‚ I was just reading here and admire you and your family for taking this challenge. I’m always on a diet (same 15-20 pounds) so I “take” my diet food to work and mostly eat at home. My problem is that my husband LOVES TO COOK and BBQ and he is really good at it, so we don’t do too much take out. Unfortunately we will be travelling soon and takeout is kind of mandatory for road trips. I hope you are successful and I will certainly be following along πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks for stopping by! Eating delicious food at home beats takeout any day of the week! We pack all our snack food when we travel – it helps to have snacks on hand especially so you don’t raid the vending machine in the hotel :-). We are thinking of more challenges we can embark on, If you have any ideas feel free to share them.

      1. I honestly love to cook and I love using fresh ingredients or try to make as much from scratch as I can…as far as easy take a couple cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes, any veggies you like, some vegetable broth, fresh Italian herbs and noodles throw it all in a Dutch oven on the stove bring to a boil then simmer until noodles are done or put everything but noodles in the crock pot all day and cook noodles before serving easy, healthy( i use whole grain organic pasta) and kid approved :))

  4. Thanks so much for sharing my blog here. I love what you’re doing and what you’re mulling these days. So many of these thoughts buzz in my head as well, but I think focusing on one simplifying goal at a time, as you are doing, is an awesome way to make real progress. Truly inspiring. I wish you joy as you push forward.
