The Rule

We have ONE rule: NO takeout (including Starbucks)

This “no takeout” idea was my husband’s and he wants to include Starbucks. Let me explain. My husband LOVES Starbucks. In fact, he frequents the place (and we have at least 4 Starbucks within 5 miles of our house)up to 3 times per day. No, I am not joking. Iced grande soy mocha (no whip) = $5.13. Sometimes it is a simple chamomile tea, or a blonde roast my husband orders. Other times it includes oatmeal or a breakfast sandwich. Regardless, it is a daily habit and I have known the man for 6 years. I didn’t even drink coffee until we started dating. I was always a (1) “Starbucks is too expensive” person and (2) I would ‘treat’ myself occasionally with a soy Chai Latte (which quickly escalated to a soy iced Caramel Macchiato). Buying me a daily coffee was part of our courtship that I enjoyed very much so there is a touch of bittersweet to this inclusion. But for the purposes of this challenge, Starbucks = takeout.
